Role Overview

The Site Services Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities at the Rook I Project Site, ensuring site services run safely and efficiently. This role focuses on leading teams, coordinating contractors, and maintaining key infrastructure such as the camp, airstrip, accommodations, and site services. The position ensures smooth operations by managing schedules, safety standards, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

(Including but not limited to)
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE)
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies are followed, promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Conduct regular safety and performance interactions with team members and contractors.
  • Enforce compliance with contractor management protocols and site regulations.

Site Operations
  • Lead the site services team and contractors to ensure smooth operation of site facilities.
  • Oversee camp operations, including accommodations, kitchen, airstrip, and other infrastructure.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies for critical site services and infrastructure.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are conducted on operational infrastructure and equipment.

Project & Operational Readiness
  • Coordinate with construction and operations teams to support seamless transition of site services.
  • Assist in operational planning, scheduling, and reporting requirements.

Leadership and Culture
  • Promote strong team culture by leading with accountability, respect, and efficiency.
 
Cost Management
  • Monitor operational costs and report budget concerns to management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in site services, camp operations, or maintenance within industrial, construction, or mining environments.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and piping systems, as well as safety and environmental standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and contractors.
  • Knowledge of remote camp operations, facility maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment, inventory control, and contractor oversight is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective communication and ability to enforce operational standards.
