Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, cost, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Champion the adoption of AI technologies with effective change management.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define project goals, and ensure successful implementation.
- Evaluate and recommend digital tools and platforms that enhance efficiency based on continuous engagement with business stakeholders.
Governance, Performance & Delivery
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital adoption initiatives.
- Continuously assess and improve project management and digital adoption methodologies based on feedback and lessons learned.
Change and Adoption
- Champion digital adoption by designing and executing change management strategies that drive user engagement and system utilization.
- Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and support materials to facilitate smooth transitions to new technologies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
- 5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects, preferably in mining industry.
- Experience implementing or managing Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and driving organizational adoption of AI technologies is considered a strong asset.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering technology solutions that drive business value.
- Experience implementing digital change management frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter).
- Demonstrated success in engaging stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and adoption.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, SAP, or collaboration tools).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills.
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment is an asset.
