Engineer in Training - Mechanical

Role Overview
The individual appointed to this position will report directly to the Mine Infrastructure Lead. The Mechanical EIT will be responsible for supporting a variety of projects including the surface and underground related shaft hoist works, surface and underground mine ventilation systems, mine services, mine backfill, and underground material management systems. The role requires strong initiative to work without constant guidance, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the various projects. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable being on a small team while working in a growth-oriented environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Assisting with the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
- Project management of procurement packages and contract the procurement cycle.

- Assisting with project planning, including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborating with senior engineers and other team members to solve technical problems and ensure project success.
- Preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Participating in field visits and inspections to gather data and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Staying current with advancements in engineering technology and best practices.
- Provide support to other Project Development teams.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Maintain project documentation and report progress.
- Engage with stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.span>
Education & Experience
- Completion of a recognized engineering degree program in mechanical engineering; preferred Bachelor's degree.
- Prior Internship or Co-Op experience is a plus.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Proficiency and/or the ability to learn engineering software and tools commonly used in the industry.

Location
This position will be based at the Saskatoon office (M-F, 40 hrs/week).
